The WCFC is an adult choir of about 80 singers. Under the direction of Robert Fielding, Director or Music, and Reg Fletcher, Assistant Director of Music, the choir has extended its repertoire in recent years. The WCFC performs at a variety of venues in Hampshire and occasionally abroad.
Our Main Concerts
In January or February of each year the WCFC presents a concert with professional soloists and orchestra. Each May, the WCFC joins with smaller choirs in the Winchester & County Music Festival to perform major choral works at either Romsey Abbey or Winchester Cathedral. Rehearsals
From September to May, we rehearse on Wednesday evenings at Littleton Memorial Hall. We also have a short programme of rehearsals during the summer.
Other Performances
In addition to the main concerts, the WCFC performs at various local events each year if possible. The choir has also enjoyed trips to perform in Winchester's twin cities of Laon, France, and Giessen, Germany. Members of WCFC sing at weddings, small concerts and competitions as opportunities arise. The WCFC uses the name 'Winchester Singers' on these occasions.
